The Office of Inclusion Education is supporting the Office of Sustainability’s Earth Fest week by hosting a clothing swap to fight fast fashion! In America alone, it is estimated that we throw away 11.3 million tons of textile waste per year, resulting in issues like increased carbon emissions, water waste, and overfilling landfills. The accessibility and affordability of fashion stores and pressure to always be on trend are huge contributors to these growing issues. Clothing swaps are a great way to get some new fits while limiting the amount of waste thrown into landfills. Do your part to aid sustainable fashion and get some new fits by doing some free “shopping” at our clothing swap!
Have clothes sitting in your closet that could use a new home? We will be accepting donations the week of April 15 in our main office, Red Gym Room 217, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We accept gently used clothing of any gender and size.
