Art Through the Environmental Lens

Art Through the Environmental Lens will be a volunteer-based art class that incorporates local ecological knowledge into the creative process of making art. Art Through the Environmental Lens views art as a tool to observe the land we reside on, the ecosystems in our local area, and to connect with our environment.

Many times we fail to acknowledge how art holds the power to express what words cannot. This class will demonstrate how art can be used as a way to better understand the world we live in. The goal of Art Through the Environmental Lens will be to provide an outlet for our local community to express their relationship with the land and to connect deeper with their community.
