University of Wisconsin-Madison

A Just Transition Film Screening

UW–Madison students call community members, legislators, and fellow students to become active environmentalists through social and policy change. This film follows the eight-week long protest series in 2023 called “March 4th to Earth Day.” Using footage captured at the protest series, the film highlights local perspectives and voices about environmental injustice toward Indigenous people, impacts of industrialized agriculture, intersections of climate change and mental health, burdens of the fossil fuel industry, and a collective call to action for activists and environmentalists alike. Film screening will be followed by a Q & A with some members of the film crew.
